Hayabusa makes the best rashguards, hands-down. I still have my original one from 10+ years ago. They are expensive but in my opinion, are worth it. I'm surprised I don't see them recommended more but I think it's a price-thing. Highly recommended, I've tried multiple other brands trying to get something cheaper but nothing compares and I still go back to Hayabusa each time. The big reason is their actual elastic waistband - doesn't slip as easily as other brands.

If you're training no-gi, definitely hayabusa. If you're doing Gi work mostly, I think you'll be fine with pretty much anything.

For cheap but sufficiently strong for bjj, I've seen many many people recommend underarmor off Amazon, both here on reddit and in the gyms I've been to I've seen a bunch.

The best gear I've come across is Hayabusa and perhaps(?) surprisingly, Tatami! Their gear has lasted me ages despite poor laundering (hot water, dryer lol)

Thanks! I think I'll try an A2 and see what happens. My Hayabusa A3's are just a tad on the big side. Oddly enough, my best fit is the school branded Breakpoint, but durability is suspect.
