About Reversal RVDDW
Reversal RVDDW began in Japan in 2000 as an apparel project from Isami, the martial arts manufacturer founded in 1932. The full name, reversal.dogi.design.works, explains the link: it takes Isami's experience with uniforms and training equipment into a fashion-led BJJ and combat-sports label. The current range crosses BJJ gis, no-gi gear, rashguards, grappling shorts, women's athletic wear, kids' training apparel, and a substantial streetwear catalog of T-shirts, sweats, jackets, hats, and bags. That breadth makes RVDDW difficult to reduce to either a gi maker or an MMA clothing brand. It works across training and daily wear, with the same Big Mark logo and graphic system carrying through both. RVDDW's official description places martial arts and combat sports at the center, then mixes them with art and wider culture. Seasonal collections use bold patterns, sportswear silhouettes, and collaborations rather than the plain academy-uniform language common in BJJ. The result sits close to Japanese streetwear without losing a clear connection to grappling. For Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, RVDDW is a strong fit when performance gear and personal style matter equally. The brand offers active gi and no-gi products, dedicated women's and kids' paths, and enough off-mat clothing to function as a full lifestyle label rather than a small merchandise extension.
