Posture_Method, Dimensions_ is a Japanese BJJ brand launched in 2025 by Toyo Martial Arts Distribution, a martial arts uniform maker active since 1948. The project is directed by jiu-jitsu practitioner Masaki Takeura, with branding and product design led by Kojiro Kondo of BLACK BELT JONES DC. It brings established Japanese uniform-making into a contemporary jiu-jitsu context.

PMD approaches BJJ equipment as product design rather than a canvas for seasonal graphics. Its visual language is restrained, with the emphasis placed on proportion, construction, and how the uniform sits in use. Standard models are joined by custom-order options, linking the brand’s design direction to the fit and preferences of individual practitioners.

The collection moves from adult and kids’ gis and belts into no-gi gear, training apparel, and accessories. Those categories share the same point of view: Japanese martial arts manufacturing presented through a contemporary jiu-jitsu brand. PMD’s identity comes from treating the uniform as an object with its own design logic rather than reproducing the familiar look of established BJJ labels.
