About Powertrip Worldwide
Powertrip Worldwide is a Los Angeles grappling fanzine and apparel label, run by a crew that calls itself artists who grapple and grapplers who create. The project began as a print zine documenting jiu-jitsu, judo, and wrestling cultures around the world, and the shop grew out of that idea: physical objects made to honor a sport that otherwise disappears the moment the round timer goes off. The apparel line stays close to training. Expect unisex tees and no-gi rashguards built for hard rounds, with the occasional hoodie when it drops. Graphics come straight from fight culture, with releases like Breakfall, Next, and Out of Our Heads printed on durable blanks meant to be worn on the mat and off it. Alongside the clothing sit the zines themselves, woven cloth patches and gi butt-flaps, and stickers that read like inside jokes for people who train. Each release also ships with a training element, a game or drill meant to be added to your own practice, in keeping with the brand's belief that play is where good grappling comes from. Tees run around $49 and rashguards around $69, and the store ships worldwide from the United States. Powertrip Worldwide suits grapplers who treat jiu-jitsu as culture as much as competition, the kind who want their no-gi gear, reading material, and mat-side art to come from the same small, design-led source rather than a mass grappling apparel brand.
