Gold bjj backpack. It may not be big enough, but it has an extra compartment for your gi/rashies that keeps it seperate from the main compartment where you could keep your books etc

I’m 6’2 207 and I wear an A3 in Gold BJJ Foundation Gi and an A3H in Flow’s air 6.0. In relatively new to bjj but they both roll well and had little shrinkage, at least in my experience. I have a longer torso and stubby legs and they have worked well for me.

I loved my Goldbjj gis until they just didn’t fit right on my legs. I do wartribe gis now in mix and match sizing and it’s amazing.

You and I just having convos on this post lol My Gold Aeroweave is almost all I wear. I have 6-7 gis from other companies, but I literally just wash and rewear my white aeroweave every session.

I have a long sleeve from them and I really feel like I should share this: they run really small. I usually fit a medium size tshirt, and I had to get the gold rashguard in XL just to get it to fit, and it’s still a little tight. I don’t know if this is because they’re a Chinese based company and they run non western sizes or not. I also have a belt from them and had the same issue

I disagree. I’ve found the backpack from Gold BJJ to be a nice upgrade to my regular ol’ backpack.  Mainly because it’s made to carry your clothes and Gi. Big pocket for clean clothes, shared lining with the dirty pocket on the underside of bag. So you can throw a gi and clothes in the clean pocket, train, then throw your dirty in the bottom pocket afterwards. Easy material to wipe down.  Been more convenient than carrying a separate laundry bag.

I have 2 Fuji’s, 1 gold BJJ , and 1 hyper fly . They’re all pretty good. The gold and hyper fly are maybe a little more premium , they have like vented armpit fabric. But all solid

I really like my Gold Aeroweave. Lightest gi I know of and breathable (not competition legal though)

I live in a very hot climate and I've bought close to 10 gis this year since returning to BJJ. If you just want the best and lightest in terms of weight and performance it's Gold Aeroweave. If you want a softer/more substantial feel you're probably looking at the Inverted Gear Hybrid or Flow Kimonos Alpine. If you want luxury Alchemical Dope or Royal Hi-Ness (half hemp half organic cotton). I'd stay away from polyester blends if you can.

Gold Aeroweave is very light and sturdy but faded a lot. If I got one again I’d just do white. Fuji Saporaito isn’t quite as light as the aeroweave but is incredibly durable and doesn’t shrink at all even in a dryer.
reddit.com · noonenowhere1239 · 2026-07-25
Gold Aeroweave. Extremely light and seem to be very durable especially considering they are 275 gsm. Not IBJJF approved if that's needed. The Fuji Lightweight kinda makes me laugh since it really isn't that light. It's a mid grade ar 450gsm material. When it was first introduced it was lighter than some.

Goldbjj is way more comfortable and fairly cheap. Their velcro pad is ironed on but otherwise are top notch. You can attach the velcro pads to the whole knee brace though.

I'm 6ft 190lbs. Their A2L Aeroweave fits me better than my A3 Gold Comp 360 gi. I normally wear A3, but for some reason that A2L aeroweave is just like....made for my body I swear lol
reddit.com · WengBoss · 2026-07-18
I got one and like it. I’m 6’8” and about 240lbs and the a5 length is perfect , but the pants are a little big in the waist and I find myself retying them a lot . Hope this helps a fellow big boi researching in the future
reddit.com · Tsavo_Neal · 2026-07-18
A2 fits me perfectly at 6'1" 190lbs. I also have an A2L and it was too long. Wasn't able to shrink it to my liking. So personally sizing down did the job. Love the Aeroweave though. Happy to share a review I did with pics if you're interested.

XMARTIAL for Rash Guards / Gold BJJ Shorts would be my choice. Relatively inexpensive but solid quality. Lafroi if you're OK with suuuper cheap quality that you can feel.

+1 for the Aeroweave. 6'1" 190 and A2 fits me perfectly. The A2L was too long on me. I have pics of both in a review I wrote -- can send that if you're interested

I'm 5'10" and 195, the A2s are pretty good size for me, but can feel a little small at times. The A2H are a little too big. In general their sizing guides are pretty spot on but you may need to figure out the right size for you. Gold's customer service is amazing though if the size isn't right they'll rush order you the right size and probably throw some freebies in as well.
reddit.com · gorzaporp · 2026-06-13
Gold aeroqeave is great but the sizing is weirdddd.... im 6ft 195 ish and a3 is massive on me. A3 on fuji fits perfect.
